Miriam specialises in craniosacral therapy. – light touch wholistic hands on treatment addressing the health and mobility of the dural membranes which hold the cerebrospinal fluid providing nutrition to the brain and spinal cord. This can help clients for whom conventional physiotherapy has been unsuccessful. In particular people who suffer from headaches, dizziness, low back pain, chronic pain, chronic fatigue, sleep disorders, digestive disorders, hormonal imbalances, fertility issues.
Miriam Graduated physiotherapy from the University of South Australia in 2001.
Worked at the Repat General Hospital for a few years after graduation.
Moved overseas and spent a year living and working in acute hospitals and neurological rehabilitation in the UK. Then lived and worked for 4 years in Belgium in acute orthopaedics (both adult and paediatric), neurological rehabilitation (brain injury and spinal cord injury) and orthopaedic rehabilitation (trauma and amputation).
Private practice musculoskeletal work and Pilates (polestar based) since 2009.
Training in 2011 (via craniosacral therapy) into somatoemotional release work – treatment of emotional components to a client’s symptoms.
Specific training in 2012 craniosacral therapy for paediatrics. Issues like poor suck/feeding issues, sleep issues.
